There are many different types of central pumping units that can be used to complete various pumping tasks. Two types of pumps that you may find on offer are hand operated pumps and electric motor driven pumps. Read more about these two pumps below:

Hand operated pumps

As the name suggests, these pumps are manually operated. They do not have any motors to control them and are completely reliant on human operation. These pumps are used in various industries in order to move fluid through systems. One type of hand pump that you may be familiar with is a hand pump placed above ground level, used to pump water from below the surface of the ground out through a tap on the pump. These hand operated pumps do require a bit of manual labour, but they are perfect for systems that require fluid infrequently.

Electric motor driven pumps

Unlike hand operated pumps, electric motor driven pumps do not require manual operation . Instead, these pumps have a motor that will automatically pump fluid through the system whenever necessary. These pumps will push the fluid through the system on their own at specific times. These electric motor driven pumps work systematically and are the perfect choice for systems that require fluid regularly. These pumps are often used in industrial machinery to provide the moving components within the machinery with the frequent lubrication that they need to continue working.
